When we renovated, we made a decision that costs us money and saves you rather a lot of it: nearly every room and suite here has a kitchenette.
Here’s the thinking
People come to Nisswa for the lake. That means early mornings and late returns, wet swimsuits, tired children and days that don’t line up with restaurant hours. A hotel that forces you out for every meal fights that rhythm. A room with a fridge, a microwave and somewhere to make coffee works with it.
What it actually gets you
Cold drinks and packed lunches for a day on Gull Lake. Milk for the cereal so nobody has to be dressed and presentable by nine. Leftovers from the supper club that don’t go in the bin. Somewhere to put the walleye. On a five-night stay, eating in for even half your meals is the difference between a comfortable trip and an expensive one.

The Round Lake King Patio Suite (Room 106) has a full kitchen, not a kitchenette — proper cooking space, plus a patio. It’s our pick for anyone settling in for a week or more, for remote workers, or for anyone travelling with dietary requirements that make eating out a nightly negotiation.
For families
Our double queen rooms and North Long Lake family suites sleep four to six and pair a kitchenette with the space to use it. Cribs and children’s books are available. Feeding a family of five in a restaurant three times a day in July is a specific kind of holiday expense — this removes most of it.
And if you’d rather not cook at all
Our private chef service brings a chef to your suite for anything from a breakfast spread to a multi-course tasting menu. They shop, cook, serve and leave the kitchen spotless. It’s a lovely thing for an anniversary or a milestone birthday.
